Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Planning Minister, WB discuss technical support

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Najeeb al-Awej discussed Saturday with the Executive Director of the World Bank Group Dr. Mirza Hassan possible technical direct support to the government in field of enhancing capacity building of concerned ministries concerning economic and financial domains.

The support will contribute in planning, preparing and programming of recovery process, reconstruction, coordination with donors, making budget and managing governmental accounts.

Minister al-Awej reviewed through video call with Hassan efforts of coordination between the government and the organization in following up the package of the WB-financed projects.

The two parties also discussed future projects to be carried out by competent international organizations.

Al-Awej pointed out to significance of continuous WB's support for enabling executive offices of government and national corporations, confirming support to the government and contribution to alleviate burden of foreign debts led by commitments to International Development Corporation through an initiative made by Group 20 for halting foreign debts under current conditions of war and corona pandemic.

He praised WB's continuous technical and financial support to Yemen and support to government's efforts for realizing economic stability.

For his part, the executive director of WB confirmed continuous support to technical projects in Yemen, confirming keenness of the organization on supporting public and private sectors for realizing economic stability during these critical conditions witnessed by the world over corona pandemic.
