Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik met today in the interim capital Aden the leadership of the local authority and executive office of Abyan province.
They discussed the latest developments in the province in light of recent developments, the current arrangements for normalizing the situation, improving services and consolidating security and stability under the Riyadh Agreement.
The meeting stressed the importance of the authorities doubling their efforts to perform their duties and responsibilities in service of the citizens despite the exceptional and difficult circumstances.
The local authority presented a matrix of projects, and the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Local Administration and other competent bodies to study it and recommend the priority proposals for adoption by the Cabinet.
The Prime Minister commended the central role of the local authority in the cohesion of performance, service delivery and reassurance among citizens, expressing appreciation and thanks for this courageous national role played by the local authority.
