Statements of Bagheri an official Iranian acknowledgment of supporting Houthis
[02/10/2019 08:33]

ADEN-SABA
Yemen's Information Minister said the recent statements of the Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri are an official Iranian acknowledgment of supporting Houthis.

Muammmar al-Eryani was commenting on Bagheri's remarks on Tuesday that “we offer our advisory and intellectual support to Yemen’s national army.” "It is an official acknowledgment for the first time," said al-Eryani.

Al-Eryani said the Iranian support "is not limited to military and intelligence advisory." "The Iranian regime runs the militia to get its agenda fulfilled and provides them with ballistic missiles, unmanned drones, arms, experts and bombs."

"The statements confirm what the Yemeni government has always said; the Houthi militia is a tool of the Iranian regime and its political and military decisions are dictated by Tehran and the one who pays the price of this horrific war is the Yemeni people."

He renewed Yemen's calls on the international community to shoulder their responsibility as they should in forcing the Iranian regime to lift its hands off Yemen."
