The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Yemen, chaired by Governor Ahmed Ghaleb, reviewed developments in the monetary and banking sectors and assessed progress on programs aimed at strengthening monetary and financial stability, safeguarding the banking system, and enhancing payment systems and financial services.

Yemen, Oman discuss common concern issues

Yemen's Ambassador to Oman Khaled Shutaif discussed Thursday with Omani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs Khalifa al-Harithi means of boosting mutual relations between the two countries in different fields and common concern issues.

Ambassador Shutaif reviewed developments in Yemen, renewing keenness of the government of Yemen for realizing just and inclusive peace on the bases of the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

He pointed to Houthi militia's violations against Yemeni people and their rejection to all UN efforts for realizing peace.
He praised efforts and situations of the Sultanate of Oman towards Yemeni people for alleviating their suffering caused by Houthi militia.

He expressed his appreciation to facilitations provided by the sultanate of Oman to Yemeni migrants crossing their territories.

For his part, the Omani official confirmed his country's position supporting Yemen and its government and supporting political process and realizing peace.
