Govt calls on UN to press to Houthi militia's detention of 210 trucks laden with food, medicines, fuels for hospitals

Yemeni Government called on the UN and interested international organizations to press seriously for ending the detention of 210 trucks by the putschist Houthi militia.

Houthi militiamen have held back the trucks which loaded food, medicines and fuels for hospitals for more than one month in the city of Ibb.

Spokesman of the government Rajeh Badi said in statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) "The Yemeni Government has been closely and anxiously following up the detention of 210 trucks by Houthi militia in the city of Ibbt for over one month.

Rajeh added" These trucks dispatched by the UN through World Food Program (WFP) but the militiamen held the convoy back, trying to compel the international organizations to pay taxes and customs' fees for the relief and humanitarian aids though humanitarian assistance stuffs are exempted from such fees under the laws in effects".
