The National Commission for Enquiry has heard from 17 female victims of abuses committed during the armed conflict between government an Houthi militia in Aden, Hodeidah, Lahj and Taiz.
The victims testified in a session the Commission held to probe into an analyze gender-based violations and the effect of non-compliance with the international humanitarian law.
Members of the commission Ishraq al-Maqtari and Jihad Abdurasool emphasized that the Committee seeks to reach out to the largest possible number of female victims in the country and ensure the preservation of the victims' rights and bringing the abusers to account.
