The Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit commenced today in Doha, Qatar, with Yemen's President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, in attendance.

Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik inaugurated on Thursday the University of Abyan.
He described the inauguration of the University as a step forward to a bright future.
Dr Ma'een added:" Yesterday we approved 2019 state's general budget under which we're going to carry out several projects and address a lot of needs,.. there are some obstacles but they can be managed by joining efforts and acting with team's sprit, things will improve gradually, this year will be better than 2018".
For his part, Governor of Abyan Maj. General Abu Baker Hussein stated that Abyan has suffered many calamities since 2011, therefore it does need to be given due attention by the government and Arab Coalition member states mainly Saudi Arabia and UAE.
