RIYADH-SABA
Saudi Arabia has condemned the Houthi denial of the United Nations access to a WFP-maintained store in Yemen's Hodeidah city.
"These humanitarian provocative acts clearly show that the Houthi militia do not care a bit about the lives of Yemenis," the general supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Abdullah al-Rabi'ah was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency as saying.
He cited a joint statement by the UN's special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, and Emergency Relief Co-ordinator, Mark Lowcock, in which they said that "The World Food Programme (WFP) grain stored in the mills - enough to feed 3.7 million people for a month - has been inaccessible for over five months and is at risk of rotting."
