Ambassador al-Mikhlafi praises China's support for Yemen and its legitimate authority

Yemen's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Mohammed al-Mikhlafi praised Chinese support for Yemen's unity, security, stability and constitutional authority as well as political process to achieve peace that is based on the three well known terms of reference including GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanisms, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.

Al-Mikhlafi's statement came as he met Tuesday with General Director of West Asia and North Africa in Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

The Ambassasor briefed the Chinese official on the latest developments about the situations in Yemen including outcomes of recent peace consultations in Stockholm.

The Chinese official reiterated his country's principled stance in supporting the legitimate government headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. He also stated that China will keep on offering political support for the government, economic and relief aids to the Yemeni people.
