Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh praised historic and deep rooted relations between our country the People's Republic of China.
His statement came as he met Tuesday with the Chinese Ambassador to our country Kang Yong.
Discussions focused on the latest developments and bilateral ties between the two friendly countries.
A range of issues, political and military developments in the national arena were also touched upon.
The Vice President highly appreciated China's support for the legitimate leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Vice President reiterated the government's constant support for the efforts aiming to achieve permanent peace that based on the three terms of reference including the GCC Initiative, it executive mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.
" Against this background Houthi militia has been extraordinary intransigent, deliberately seeking to further increase the Yemeni peoples' agony" Mohssen said.
The Vice President expressed hope that the International Community will take firm and united position to implement the UNSCR 2216 which unanimously endorsed and internationally, regionally and nationally welcomed.
(Lt Gen) Mohssen stated that reinstating the legitimate Yemeni authority is basically in the interest of the Yemeni people, achieving their aspirations to establish a federal state, moreover it is the only single way to protect the brothers' and friends' interests and to resume strategic relations between Yemen and different countries around the world.
The Chinese diplomat voiced pleasure to meet the Vice President, noting that his country is interested in further boosting bilateral ties, reiterating China's stance in supporting the legality and political solution in accordance with the three terms of reference.
