Yemeni-British military cooperation discussed

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Wednesday with the British defense attaché, Colonel Mat Star Wars.

Yemeni-British military and security cooperation was a central focus of (Lt Gen) Mohssen's conversation with Col. Star Wars.

Aspects of security cooperation between Yemen and Britain in the area of capacity-building were explored.

The Vice President praised the UK's constant support for Yemeni legitimate leadership and Yemeni peoples. He also underlined the importance of further bolstering Yemeni-British security and military cooperation to upgrade capacities of the Yemeni security and military apparatuses and personnel so that they can maintain the nation's security and foil terrorists' schemes.

The British defense attaché noted that his country has taken steps to step up security and military assistance to Yemen.
