The European Union (EU) strongly condemned the attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias on the commercial ship (MINERVAGRACHT), which flies the Dutch flag in the Gulf of Aden.

Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi received Tuesday the Swedish ambassador to our country Ban Knutson.
Al-Mekhlafi expressed Yemeni legitimate government's appreciation for the Swedish supportive stances in supporting the legitimate government. He also voiced deep thanks for the Swedish government's significant contribution to the UN Humanitarian Response Plan 2018.
Al-Mekhlafi's conversation with the Swedish diplomat touched upon the ongoing combat operations that aim to retake the remain provinces which are still under the Houthi militia control. He made clear that the ongoing military operations in the west coastal front, Sa'ada and Al-Baidha designed to cut-supply lines to the rebels without undermining the follow of humanitarian aids that will continue through many seaports, airports and land- entrances.
The Swedish ambassador stated that his country will continue to support the republic of Yemen and alleviate the humanitarian suffering that Yemenis have been struggling with.
