VP meets with US ambassador to our country

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Tuesday with the US ambassador to our country Matthew Tuller.

Yemeni-American bilateral ties and topics of common interest were discussed during the meeting.

The Vice President appreciated US supportive stance in supporting legal leadership and restoring the Yemeni state.

Mohssen reiterated that Yemeni political leadership is very keen on re-establishing peace on the basis of the GCC's brokered deal, outcomes of the National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen stated that legal government backed by Suadi-led Arab Coalition has been fighting a defensive war against Iran-backed coup d'état aimed to destabilize the region. He noted that our battle will continue to defend the Yemeni people, Yemen's identity and fight terrorism in order to protect Yemen and regional and international security.

The US diplomat reaffirmed his country's support for Yemen' stability, security and unity.
