Governor of Taiz Ali al-Ma'mari discussed on Wednesday with Advisor of Saudi Royal Court, the General Sponsor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Activities Abdullah al-Rabi'a humanitarian situation and efforts of fighting cholera in Taiz.
Al-Ma'mari valued huge efforts of King Salman Center in humanitarian and relief fields, noting that quick interventions of the center have had big effect on alleviating difficult situations Yemeni people are experiencing, especially support of fighting cholera epidemic which has widely erupted in Taiz.
For his part, al-Rabi'a reviewed programs the center is implementing in Yemen in general and in Taiz in particular, where the center has provided 4.4 million food baskets, 871 thousand one distributed in Taiz.
An agreement with two hospitals in Taiz has been signed for providing health care to injured people and transferring patients with eye diseases to Mucca Eye Hospital in Aden where patients will receive free treatment paid by the center, said al-Rai'a.
Supplying al-Thawra Public Hospital in Taiz with medicines, equipment and providing oxygen cylinders to other hospitals in the governorate were also agreed upon.
He added that the center has carried out programs of treating malnourished children and women and 81, 823 people have benefited and the center is planning to carry out projects in fields of water and environment.
