The governor of Abyan Mzaj. Abu Bakr H. Salem emphasized the need for the army to be on high alert and ready to thwart any outlawed acts that may want to destabilize the province.
Heading a meeting of the senior local security officials, the governor said there is no development or reconstruction without security and stability.
The officials, members of the local Supreme Security Committee, discussed a number of reports and procedural plans to promote the province's level of security and repel the outlawed elements.
The meeting asserted that any outlawed elements will be targeted wherever they are warning the citizen's against offering them safe havens in their houses or plantations.
The committee called on all citizens to tip off the security authorities about any such elements and their hideouts to save the province of Abyan against any harm.
