The Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani chaired today, Thursday, a meeting of the Supreme Committee to Combat Smuggling, in the temporary capital Aden.
The meeting focused on reviewing the level of implementation of government measures to combat smuggling and deter smugglers in order undercut the sources of funding and arming of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
The meeting revised the report of the committee tasked with implementing the Presidential Leadership Council's decision to close smuggling points and the measures it has taken in this regard, and it approved the proposals and solutions that the committee had reached concerning these points.
The Prime Minister urged tightening control over dual-use materials, parts and equipment, update the lists regulating their trade, and unify the rules for handling them across relevant authorities to prevent them from reaching the Houthi terrorist militia or being used in activities that threaten national security.
