Minister of Transport Mohsen al-Amri held discussions on Wednesday with Captain Nasser Mahmoud, Chairman of Yemenia Airways, on strategies to sustain the airline’s operational stability amid the ongoing surge in jet fuel prices and its repercussions on the national carrier’s service capacity.
The talks addressed the most pressing financial and operational constraints confronting Yemenia Airways as escalating fuel prices continue to drive up flight-related expenses and place strain on the continuity of air services.
The two sides also examined possible interventions to mitigate the impact of the situation and maintain reliable transport services for passengers.
