TAIZ - SABA
The Governor of Taiz governorate Nabil Shamsan greatly valued the EU's significant interventions in Taiz, calling for further involvements to help implementing the economic plan of the governorate.
He made his statement during his talks today, Monday, with the EU Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Patrick Simonnet and his accompanying delegation.
Shamsan highlighted the challenges that the people of Taiz have been experiencing for years due to the great deal of damages caused by the long-standing war, underlining the unbearable humanitarian suffering as the governorate is the most populated, with scarce economic resources almost all lie in the terrorist Houthi militias-controlled.
The EU Ambassador stated that the EU is going to continue to support Yemen in general and Taiz in particular by working for security and peace, focusing on a political solution to the Yemeni crisis as well as supporting the economy, enhancing cooperation with the private sector and assisting communities suffering from food insecurity.
