The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Aviation Sector Eng. Tariq Abdo along with the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology Captain Saleh bin Nahaid launched today, Monday, the first flight of Aden Airlines Company from Aden International Airport, Aden-Cairo route.
The Aden Airlines Company is a private-owned, established by al-Qutobi Group.
Eng. Tariq Abo celebrated the inauguration of Aden Airlines flights, saying "It is a watershed in the aviation businesses in Yemen and a promising step towards improving its capacities expanding its services".
The First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of al-Qutobi Group Abdulsalam al-Arwi stated that Aden Airlines is intended to improve transport services, serve the interests of the country and the fellow citizens.
" It is also set to boost the temporary capital Aden as a major economic and tourist hub", al-Arwi stressed.
