The Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah, met today, Thursday, with the new Regional Director of the British 'Muslim Hands' organization in Yemen, Mohammed al-Hardi, who is currently visiting the governorate.
They discussed the humanitarian needs, the organization’s interventions to alleviate the suffering of the displaced people, the host community and to strengthen humanitarian partnership with the local authority.
Al-Hardi stated that his visit to the governorate aimed to assess humanitarian needs, strengthen partnerships with the local authority, and participate in the inauguration and delivery of a number of projects implemented by the organization.
The discussions also focused on the organization's humanitarian interventions in the governorate including of charitable bakeries, education, health and water.
The achievements of ongoing projects, primarily the school feeding project benefiting 2,087 students, the planned projects in the upcoming period, and the projects for which the organization can seek funding were also touched on.
