DOHA - SABA
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council PLC) called for espousing a comprehensive Arab and Islamic approach to act jointly, and collective measures to curb Israeli expansionist policies and illusions of regional dominance.

Speaking at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held today, Monday, in the Qatari capital Doha, His Excellency stressed that the persistence of the genocide in Gaza without any accountability and the continuation of attacks on the countries of the region without deterrence have led to emboldening the entity of the Israeli occupation to attack the State of Qatar.

In this context, His Excellency pointed out to the attacks by the Israeli entity on the properties of the Yemeni people and the targeting of civilian assets in response to the reckless cross-border attacks launched by the terrorist Houthi militias, which have led to the militarization of the Red Sea and transformed Yemen into a battleground on behalf of its supporters.

The President said " the geopolitical challenges we face today prove that the expansionist regional states in the region and the armed terrorist groups are two sides of the same coin, explaining that both provide excuses for the expansion of the other and both seek to undermine the nation-state and fuel regional conflict".

His Excellency added "therefore, today we are required to adopt a more comprehensive approach to joint Arab and Islamic action based on three integrated axes, the foremost of which is the just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

In the second axis, His Excellency emphasized the importance of supporting the national institutions of our countries politically, economically and securely, and working collectively to combat armed terrorist groups.

In the third axis, the President underlining the importance of deterring rogue states with expansionist projects in the region, foremost among them Israel and enhancing joint Arab and Islamic integration.

The Chairman of the PLC highlighted the achievements of Arab diplomacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in achieving an important political transformation towards international recognition of Palestine, reiterating in this regard the Republic of Yemen's welcome of the historic decision of the United Nations General Assembly supporting the two-state solution.

The President also reaffirmed the Republic of Yemen's full support for the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt and the United States, as well as the Arab initiative for the reconstruction of Gaza.
