MUKALLA-SABA
Secretary-General of Hadhramout Governorate's local council, Saleh Al-Amki, met with UNOPS Country Manager for Yemen, Ms. Rehana Zawar, to discuss the organization's interventions in vital sectors of the governorate.
The meeting, held in Mukalla city, reviewed the needs in various sectors, including public works, planning, international cooperation, water and sanitation, public health, and population.
Al-Amki highlighted the security and stability in the governorate, which has made major cities like Mukalla, Seiyun, and others attractive to people from rural areas and other governorates, resulting in overcrowding and pressure on vital services such as electricity and water.
He called for more targeted interventions in all vital sectors to address these challenges.
