Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi returned Sunday to the temporary capital Aden, accompanied by Prime Minister Salem Saleh Bin Breik, after a fruitful official visit to the Russian Federation.

During this visit, he held bilateral talks with President Vladimir Putin and senior officials in the State Duma and the Russian government.

During his foreign visit, the President also participated in the Arab and Economic summits in Baghdad, Iraq and held consultations in Riyadh with brothers, friends and regional and international actors regarding developments in the Yemeni situation and the regional developments, as well as ways to alleviate the burdens of living conditions exacerbated by the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

A source in the Presidential Office stated that the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with his fellow council members, will continue efforts to enhance the government's role in confronting the economic and humanitarian crisis caused by the Houthi terrorist militias.

The source confirmed that the President will hold meetings regarding this matter with the government leadership, local authorities and relevant entities to share plans and policies aimed at enhancing the path of comprehensive reforms, improving the state's public resources, containing economic and service deterioration, particularly in the electricity and water sectors, supporting the liberation battle, and restoring state institutions.
