His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

The Speakers of the Parliament Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani and the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed bin Dagher contributed today, Sunday, to the discussions of the 7th Conference of the Arab Parliament and the Speakers of Arab Parliaments and Shura Councils.

The gathering is held in coordination with the Arab Parliamentary Union at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.

The Conference aimed to mobilize the efforts of Arab Parliaments and establish a united parliamentary stance in support of the Palestinian people struggle against the Israeli occupation's policy aimed to forcefully displace the Palestinian peoples from their own homeland.

Al-Barakani reiterated Yemen's iron-clad support for the Palestinian peoples' right to establish their own independent statehood with al-Quds as its capital.

He stated that the Palestinian peoples who had been forcefully displaced earlier by the Israeli occupation entity have the right to return to their own origin homeland, stressing that this is a basic principle of their cause and there is no room to talk about the displacing which we categorically rejecting in its all forms, calling for opposing it.
