RIYADH - SABA
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi has expressed expressed his profound gratitude for the multifaceted developmental and humanitarian interventions of the State of Kuwait.
He warmly welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation, led by the Acting Director-General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Engineer Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar, and commended the signing of a landmark financial agreement between the Yemeni government and the Kuwait Fund, which aims to revitalize Kuwaiti financing for development projects in Yemen, thereby serving the country's development programs and projects.
The President extolled the Kuwaiti government, led by Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for their unwavering fraternal solidarity and support for the Yemeni government and people in all circumstances.
He hoped such agreement would lead to launching more Kuwaiti projects and alleviate Yeme's debts to the Kuwaiti Fund in these circumstances worsened by Houthi attacks on oil facilities and shipping lines.
He also acknowledged the laudable efforts of Kuwaiti financial institutions and charitable organisations in rehabilitating essential services and alleviating human suffering in Yemen, which has been exacerbated by the devastating conflict.
