Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, Major General Salem al-Soqatri, visited on Thursday the Fishing Industry and Seafood Technology Exhibition (SPIEF) as part of the International Economic Forum on the Fishing Industry held in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
In a statement to the Yemeni news agency (Saba), the Minister emphasized that Yemen's participation in the forum aims to revive the historical economic relations between Yemen and Russia and to activate strategic cooperation that meets the ministry's objectives in the field of fishing to achieve sustainable development.
He highlighted the ministry's commitment to benefiting from modern technologies offered by Russian companies in the fishing sector.
