Real Madrid, the Spanish La Liga title holder, fell into a 1-1 draw trap against its host Real Mallorca in the match that brought them together, in the first round of the competition.

Real Madrid failed to achieve victory after winning the European Super Cup title this week for the sixth time at the expense of Italian Atalanta with two clean goals in Warsaw.

Real took the lead with the first goal through Rodrigo in the 14th minute, and Vedat Muriqi equalized for Mallorca in the 53rd minute.
