Foreign Minister discusses with Chinese Special Envoy for ME latest developments in Yemen

Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Shaea al-Zandani discussed Tuesday with Chinese Especial Envoy for the Middle East Chai Jun latest developments in Yemen.

He reviewed efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to reach a comprehensive political solution that ends the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people and achieves their aspirations for security, stability and peace.

Dr. al-Zandani praised China's firm position towards Yemen and its legitimate leadership, and its support for the peace process efforts, appreciating the Chinese government's developmental contributions in various fields.

He pointed out to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the serious crimes committed against civilians, affirming Yemen's firm position on the just Palestinian cause and supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and the two-state solution.

Minister al-Zandani also touched on the situation in the Red Sea and the Houthi militia's threats to international maritime security, as well as the repercussions of the Houthi attacks on regional and global security and stability, and their impact on the economic and living conditions of the Yemeni people.

For his part, the Chinese Envoy affirmed his country's keenness to achieve security and peace in the region, and the adoption of a dialogue to resolve conflicts and differences, renewing his country's support for the international and regional efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in Yemen.
