His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) underlined the announcement of the establishment of the Multinational Naval Defense Alliance led by Saudi Arabia, describing this move as a strategic initiative and a very important step to boost collective security, protect international navigation and secure vital sea routes in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Al-Mahrami holds elaborated meeting with Interior Ministry's leadership

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman al-Mahrami held Sunday here elaborated meeting with leadership of Ministry of Interior headed by Minister Ibrahim Haidan.

In the meeting, al-Mahrami listened to reports from the ministry on security achievements and difficulties facing security apparatus and police departments, as well as means of improving security infrastructure and police cadre.

The meeting also discussed situations of a number of the ministry's institutions, including ground ports and authorities of passports and prisons. In this regard, al-Mahrami stressed necessity of controlling work's mechanisms in accordance with legal regulations.

Al-Mahrami issued directives to double efforts and improving security readiness and alert to deter anyone trying to play with security and stability, pointing out that the status quo requires integrating efforts and enhancing coordination between different security forces to foil plots of harming the country's security and stability.
