Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Brigadier General Tariq Saleh discussed today, Thursday, with Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to the Republic of Yemen Abdah Sharif the recent developments in Yemen and the region.
The conversations, which conducted via video conference technology, covered topics relating to Yemeni-British bilateral relations, UK's role in supporting the efforts of the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the UN to reach and carry out the needed road map for peace in Yemen.
The implications of the recent events in the south of the Red Sea and Iran's schemes aiming to militarize Bab el-Mandeb and disrupt international navigation were key focus of the discussions.
The Palestinian file was also touched upon. The PLC's member called on the UK to do its utmost to stop the Israeli occupation troops' crimes in Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
