Marib - Saba
Deputy governor of Marib Dr. Abd Rabbuh Miftah discussed with the Country Director of Solidarity International in Yemen, Daniele Regazzi, who is currently visiting the governorate, the humanitarian interventions implemented by his organization in the governorate and areas for expanding them during the coming year.
The meeting reviewed the humanitarian situation of the IDPs, who are settling in 198 camps, with deteriorating humanitarian and living conditions, and the increasing size of their basic needs in light of the decline in the funding and interventions of international organizations.
Miftah expressed the local authority’s aspiration to strengthen the humanitarian partnership with the International Solidarity Organization and expand its humanitarian interventions... stressing that the deteriorating economic and living conditions of the displaced have negative effects on them and their children, especially in light of the increasing humanitarian needs, most notably food, water, shelter, health and education.
