Marib. Dep. Governor highlights the need for greater humanitarian interventions

Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah called on the regional and international relief organizations to increase their humanitarian and relief actions in the governorate to meet the increasingly growing needs of the Internally Displace Persons (IDP) and the hosting community.
He voiced his call during his discussions today, Sunday, here in the city of Marib with a team of the Malaysian Muslim Care Organization currently visiting the governorate, headed by Mohammed Fadhil.
Dr. Meftah detailed the visiting team on the humanitarian situations, citing the pressing needs of the IDPs in the governorate which has received over 62 percent of the total number of the IDPs in the country.
Mr. Fadhil said that the visit of the Malaysian Muslim Care team aimed to get first-hands information about the humanitarian situations, discuss partnership with the local authority and prioritize the organization's interventions in the upcoming period.
