Maj. Gen. Al-Zabeedi inaugurates Revenue Development Center at the local authority in Aden

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Sovereign and Local Revenues, Major General Aidaroos Al-Zabeedi, today officially inaugurated the work of the Revenue Development Center at the General Office of the Local Authority in the interim capital, Aden, this Wednesday morning.

During the inauguration, which was attended by Finance Minister Salem Bin Brik, Major General Al-Zabeedi heard from the Minister of State, Governor of Aden, and the administrative and technical staff supervising the center, a detailed explanation about the center, its departments and tasks, and its work mechanism, which is mainly based on collecting revenues and issuing licenses for the practicing professions.

Major General Al-Zabeedi also reviewed the great benefits achieved by the center during its experimental period of work, including a comprehensive inventory of revenues and stopping financial waste, in addition to the percentages of increase achieved in central and local revenues in the governorate and districts and the level of their collection.

In his speech before the Executive Office of the interim capital, Aden, Al-Zabeedi praised the efforts made to establish the center by Governor Lamlas and the staff of the local authority, stressing that the establishment of this center is considered a first step for the complete transition to the electronic system for government services, prevailing in neighboring countries and developed countries.
