Yemen's Ambassador to Washington Dr Ahmed Awadh bin Mubark reiterated legitimate government's interest in making peace, doing utmost efforts to reach to peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis.
His statement came at seminar titled" Yemen's Path in Future". A function organized by the Middle East Institute in Washington. Several high-profile diplomats contributed to the seminar including Deputy Assistant of US Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs Tim Lenderking and former US ambassador to Yemen Gerald Feirstein.
Bin Mubark made clear that the government has been very keen to achieve peace, responded constructively to all peace consultations included Geneva's recent round which failed due to Houthi militia's refusal to attend under unacceptable pretexts.
He underscored the importance of forcing the militia to comply with the International Security Council resolutions, above all 2216.
