Finance minister discusses with UK diplomat support to Yemen's economy

Minister of Finance Salem BinBuraik discussed Monday here with Charge D'Affaires of UK Embassy in Yemen Chris Pold latest financial, economic and political developments in Yemen.
The two parties discussed also peace efforts in Yemen, support to program of inclusive reforms and capacity building of the ministry of finance and affiliated establishments for addressing challenges facing the national economy.
The meeting emphasized reforms program in Yemen in cooperation and support from the International Monetary Fund, brothers and friends of Yemen, as well as technical support provided by international agencies led by Pragma Organization and USAID to support abilities of the ministry of planning and its bodies to overcome obstacles.
Minister of finance called for necessity of speeding up implementation of reforms program and providing more pledges and financial and technical support to help the government alleviate suffering of citizens and improve humanitarian services.
For his part, the UK diplomat reconfirmed his country's continuous different support to the government and people of Yemen to overcome their economic and financial challenges.
He also confirmed continuous support to regional and international efforts to realize inclusive and permanent peace.
