First national meeting on nutrition in Yemen held

Jordanian capital hosted Sunday the First National Meeting for Nutrition in Yemen chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Planning Minister, the National Coordinator for the Movement of Increasing Level of Nutrition in Yemen, Nizar Basuhaib and a number of Yemeni officials and representatives of a number of regional and international interested bodies.

Batheeb talked about dangerous indicators of malnutrition and lack of food security in Yemen saying that all forms of malnutrition are a critical national issue added to the burden of economic and social issues.
