Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani has condemned with the most powerful terms the assassination attempt by Iran-backed Terrorist Houthi militias against the governor of Taiz governorate Nabil Shamsan.
Houthi militiamen targeted Shamsan motorcade by Iranian-made drone attack today, Saturday, in the region of al-Qadah, southern the city of Taiz, while he was on way back to Taiz from the city of Mocha.
The assault result in killing one of the governors' companions, injuring two others.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Muammer said" Houthi militias' attack against the Head of Civil Executive Authority of Taiz governorate is a coward terrorist action demonstrates the criminal nature of these militias which hold no respect for the Blessed Month of Ramadan nor the people's lives".
He stated that this criminal attack comes amid continuous military escalation by the terrorist Houthi militias in different flashpoints, a matter shows the militias' insistence on blocking the de-escalation efforts and the good offices to restore the truce because the militias are aware that they are the beneficial from the continuation of the war.
The Minister called on the International Community, UN, permanent member states of the Security Council and Special envoy to Yemen openly denounce this terrorist assault and act against this dangerous escalation.
