A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Mansour Baggash received today, Thursday, the International President of Doctors Without Borders Organization (MSF) Dr. Christos Christou.

The humanitarian interventions of the MSF in health sector in Yemen and coordination between the organization and the Yemeni government were key focus of the conversations.

Baggash voiced appreciation to the MSF for its significant contribution to the humanitarian actions in Yemen amid the tough circumstances facing health sector due to the coup of the Houthi militia and the war it triggered.
