Enhancing judiciary activities in Mahrah discussed

Governor of Al-Mahrah Mohammad Ali Yasser discussed Monday with representatives of Judiciary Authority and concerned bodies a number of issues and problems associated with judiciary and courts.

Governor Yasser pointed out to the role of judiciary in solving many problems, praising role of judges of continuing activities of the prosecution and courts in different parts of the province under current difficult conditions.

He confirmed significance of activating the role of judiciary and speeding up settling stopped cases, stressing that the judges must be independent and away of political affiliations.

The meeting highlighted coordination and cooperation between the Judiciary Authority and the Office of Public Works and Lands Authority to settle the referred cases and studying issues related to public funds.

The meeting approved activating legal departments associated with anti-drugs issues and working on constructing a center to rehabilitate drugs addicted and working on constructing an independent unit to tackle land issues and dealing seriously with security-wanted.
