The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Speakers of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani and Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obeid bin Dagher contributed to the deliberations of the Fifth Conference of Arab Parliament and the Speakers of Arab Parliaments and Assemblies.

The gathering held today, Saturday, at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo themed" Parliamentarian Vision to Enhance Arab Food Security".

Dr. Bin Dagher delivered a speech in which he provided an informative presentation about the developments in the Yemeni national arena.

He noted that Yemen since last February has been going through a state of no war no peace, simply because the Houthis have ostensibly accepted the UN-brokered humanitarian and practically abandoned it, violating the truce in all fronts.

Bin Dagher stated that Houthi militias' coup has weakened Yemen's production capacities as a result the agricultural, fishery and livestock remarkably reduced.
