Yemen's ambassador receives head of Turkish agency, Turkish scholarship foundation

Yemen's Ambassador to Turkey Mohammed Turaik discussed Wednesday with the Chairman of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Serkan Kayalar promoting cooperation between the two parties.

Turaik praised Turkey's contributions in developmental and relief field in Yemen, confirming deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries and significance of improving them.

He reviewed the difficult humanitarian situation over Houthi militia's coup against the state and sacrifices made to combat that sectarian project, making it clear that the government made concessions for ending suffering of Yemeni people and reaching inclusive political solution and ending lifting the siege imposed by the militia on cities.

For his part, the Turkish official reviewed projects and activities carried out by the agency across the world, pointing out that the agency makes Yemen within lists of its priorities in the developmental, cultural, health and humanitarian projects.

On the other hand, Ambassador Turaik discussed with Chairman of Turkish Scholarship Foundation Abdullah Aren means of improving joint educational projects and providing more chances and facilitations to Yemeni students to enroll in Turkish universities.

He reviewed difficulties faced by Yemeni students in Turkey and means of solving them, praising all services provided by Turkey to Yemeni students in different Turkish states.

For his part, Aren confirmed readiness of Turkish Scholarship Foundation to cooperate and coordinate with the embassy to solve those difficulties.
