U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Al-Eryani holds Houthi militia responsible for safety of Journalist al-Mansouri

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani has held Houthi militia responsible for the safety of Journalist Tawfeeq al-Mansouri and all his colleagues who are forcibly disappeared in Houthi militia illegal prisons for seven years.

Al-Eryani made it clear to Saba that the information given to the family of al-Mansouri confirms deterioration of his health condition after being inflicted with a number of chronic diseases over torture and bad treatment and even lack of basic life needs.

Al-Eryani called upon human rights organizations and bodies associated with protecting journalists and all media men, journalists, interested of rights and activist around the world to be in solidarity with Journalist al-Mansouri and his colleagues.

He also called upon them to denounce bad conditions of their arrest and to form a lobby for demanding cracking down on perpetrators and violators of journalists' rights and journalism in Houthi militia held-areas.

Minister al-Eryani called upon the international community, the United Nation and the two envoys of the United Nations and the United States to shoulder their legal and moral responsibility to exert pressure on Houthi militia to provide swift healthcare to Journalist al-Mansouri and release him along with his colleagues immediately without any reserve.

He also called upon to stop the militia's using journalists as a card for political blackmail and bargain.
