Minister of Water and Environment, Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, discussed with the Director of the UNICEF office in Aden the joint work plan for water and sanitation projects within the framework of funds managed by UNICEF, which includes projects worth $60 million for all governorates, including Emergency business.
Minister Al-Sharjabi stressed during the meeting in the interim capital Aden the importance of taking the notes of the Ministry of Water regarding the plan in terms of program components and the distribution of funds to the governorates according to need, population density, geographical extension and the number of displaced people, including the importance of the participation of local institutions and rural water branches in all stages of preparation and supervision of the implementation of projects in accordance with UNICEF’s work mechanism.
