Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Bajjash discussed with the General Coordinator of the Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, cooperation between Yemen and COMSTECH.
Bajjash touched on the effects of the war ignited by the Houthi militia on the educational process in Yemen and the urgent need to help Yemen at this stage, stressing that the education and health sectors are among the sectors most affected in this war.
In turn, the General Coordinator of the Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation affirmed COMSTECH's readiness to contribute to assisting Yemeni youth in rehabilitation, training and scientific research. He said that the committee had announced the provision of 50 training scholarships to Yemeni students out of its sense of obligations towards the Yemeni people in these circumstances that Yemen is going through, expressing his keenness to push for more cooperation during the coming period.
