Planning Minister Discusses Expanded Cooperation with UNICEF and FAO
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba met on Thursday in the interim capital Aden with UNICEF Representative in Yemen Peter Hawkins to review the organization’s planned activities for the year and discuss ways to expand cooperation in implementing development and humanitarian programs.

PM: Education reform a top priority in govt's plans, projects

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik stated that education reform and improvement is given a priority in the government's plans and projects with Yemen's partners as it is a cornerstone for the development and overcoming the challenges created by Houthi militias since its coup against the official authority and its-triggered war in 2014.

As he chaired a meeting today in the temporary capital Aden with the leadership of Ministry of Education he ordered revising most important priorities in education domain and devoting donors' support to repair the schools damaged by Houthis' war, improving teachers' action and school management.

The discussions covered the challenges need to be addressed, the ongoing efforts to deal with and Ministry's action-plans to improve education and increase cooperation with the donors to mobilize more resources for the education.
