The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. PM: Education reform a top priority in govt's plans, projects

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik stated that education reform and improvement is given a priority in the government's plans and projects with Yemen's partners as it is a cornerstone for the development and overcoming the challenges created by Houthi militias since its coup against the official authority and its-triggered war in 2014.

As he chaired a meeting today in the temporary capital Aden with the leadership of Ministry of Education he ordered revising most important priorities in education domain and devoting donors' support to repair the schools damaged by Houthis' war, improving teachers' action and school management.

The discussions covered the challenges need to be addressed, the ongoing efforts to deal with and Ministry's action-plans to improve education and increase cooperation with the donors to mobilize more resources for the education.
