The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Yemen Public Health official calls on counterparts to address aid centralization issue

Yemen’s Deputy Health Minister for Primary Healthcare has called on counterparts and stakeholders mainly international organizations to address the problem of aid and cooperation centralization in the Houthi-held Sana’a by delegating more aid to other cities proportional to new population increases after the war and mass displacements.

Ali Al-Walidi made the point during a consultative meeting over the Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan 2021 involving aid organizations and local Public Health stakeholders.

The meeting was organized by the Health Ministry and the WHO.

He called on the Health Stakeholders to base their headquarters in the temporary capital Aden and operate in the spirit of one team.

He called on the international stakeholders to pressure the terrorist putschist militia of Houthis to admit the covid-19 vaccination shipments to their territories of control and allow the immunization campaigns to take place.
