Yemen's Ambassador to Austria Haitham Shuga'ddin discussed Tuesday with the Head of Austrian Parliament Group latest developments in Yemen under Houthi militia recent military escalation in Marib and targeting displaced people camps amid silence of all international organizations.
He touched upon Donors Conference organized by Swiss and Sweden through video conferencing in cooperation with the United States on Monday, praising contribution of USD 7.34 million by Austria for supporting humanitarian response plan in Yemen 2021.
He also pointed out to the potential environmental disaster could be resulted by Oil Safir Tanker if Houthi militia continues its stubbornness and banning access to UN technical team to evaluate the tanker and doing maintenance work to it.
He confirmed government's commitment to all peace efforts on the bases of the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
For her part, the Austrian official confirmed keenness of her country on realizing peace in Yemen and boosting relations between the two countries, especially in parliamentarian field.
