Leadership Council Avows To Take All Measures To Prevent Violations of Yemeni sovereignty

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Wa’ed Badheib, discussed with the UNDP Yemen Resident Representative. Mr. Auke Lootsma, the mechanisms of transition from relief work to development in order to achieve economic recovery, create job opportunities, and enhance stability.

In a meeting held in the temporary capital Aden today, the talks dealt with many issues including the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic, the effects of the war, the sustainable development and the UNDP’s preparations to implement a project to develop and raise the efficiency of the seaports of Aden and Mukalla, at a cost of 50 million dollars, funded by the World Bank.
