ADEN - SABA
Vice President of the Republic (Lt Gen) Ali Mohsen Saleh described the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's call for holding Yemen's donor conference as a significant humanitarian gesture toward Yemen.
He said" The call for Yemen donor conference 2020 by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordination with the United Nations—to be virtually held tomorrow, Tuesday—is an important noble gesture and a continuation of the Kingdom's supportive stances toward Yemen that has been facing the worst humanitarian crisis as a result of Iran-allied Houthi militia's coup".
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the Vice President added " We express our thanks and deep appreciation for the Kingdom's efforts to organize this conference.
The Saudi brothers have always been the first to rush-up to help Yemen and stand with the Yemeni people, the kingdom is the key supporter and sponsor of the humanitarian response plans in our country, including the plans to counter coronavirus (covid-19)".
Mohsen hailed the significant relief and developmental role of KSrelief and the Saudi Program for Development and Construction in Yemen (SPDRY).
The Vice President reiterated the call on the International Community, donors and International organizations to contribute to the humanitarian response programs in Yemen.
