RIYADH-SABA
The Houthi militia plundered a shipment of medical supplies the government sent to the healthcare centers to tackle coronavirus infections in the militant-controlled territories.
Yemen's Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani said the government, out of its sense of responsibility towards all Yemeni provinces including the militia-held ones, sent the medical supplies received from the WHO but the militia members stole the shipment and shared it "among its warlords to sell it in the black market."
Al-Eryani called on the UN Secretary General and his Special Envoy to Yemen as well as the WHO to condemn this Houthi act and force them to return the stolen shipment since millions of Yemenis are facing the risk of coronavirus infection.
